| Introduction | If I couldn't create, I couldn't live. I run a manuscript editing boutique for serious writers (http://www.mssediting.com). I write short stories and novels and received my MFA in Writing from Pacific University. I have stories published in Crab Creek Review, Image, Our Stories, Camera Obscura, Anemone Sidecar, Danse Macabre and New Plains Review. I think it is unfortunate that publishers don't want to sign short-story collections because they're not profitable. I wonder if this was the case when Carver was submitting. I wonder if anyone besides writers read literary journals. I wonder if blogging will eliminate the short printed word. |
