| Introduction | I was born in 1960 to a eurasian father & baba mother at home in the Tampines of old. The ‘village’ mid-wife delivered me, the 3rd in a family of four children. School at RI was fun and revolved around water-polo. Life was good as a teenager. I landed my first job in 1978 with the Singapore Navy. Their slogan ‘Join the Navy & See the World’ appealed to my sense of adventure. The Navy became my home & was responsible for molding me into an officer & a gentleman. 16 wonderful years passed by all too soon. My new found freedom as a civilian in 1994 saw me being involved in many business ventures. I became a real estate agent, invested in a Sport Fishing Centre in Phuket, bought 2 kelongs at Bintan & became a Marine Test Pilot. But my most memorable venture was my very own Nautical School, Captain Francis' Log. It was the best time of my life. My wife of 33 years Roslyn, is my best friend and the mother of my 3 sons. Today, after an incredible 15 yrs in MLM I'm making a comeback into the boating scene. I'm living my dreams again... |
