| Introduction | This site is dedicated to the further research of FTD and for those walking this insidious journey to take comfort that someone has "been there". John, 01.2008 was diagnosed after two plus years of testing with Frontotemporal Lobe Dementia - Behavioral with Parkinsonism. This disease is Fatal, even though they look "fine" it destroys the brain and the motor controls slowly, changing their personality and temperament until the last stage like Alzheimer's they are no longer able to swallow properly bringing on pneumonia. It generally attacks individuals 40-65. John was 52 when dx. It is a rare form of dementia, but is known to be under diagnosed, FTD families are trying hard to get knowledge out to Dr's and others. This is a blog about our journey.
