|Introduction||"Be the change you wish to see in the world." Mahatma Gandhi|
For those who are personality test-oriented, I am an INFP Gryffindor. Politically, I am a solid liberal. While I am non-theistic, I have a great appreciation of the natural world and humankind’s place in it and strive to live with ethical consistency. I am quite idealistic, finding the good in everyone and everything, and tend to fight against what I perceive as breaches of that goodness.
While I have been educated as a scientist, I have an artistic side and enjoy theatre, sewing, and crafts. I enjoy reading and discussing literature. I am an avid long-distance hiker (Appalachian Trail Class of 2012), endurance runner, and horseback rider. Until a few months ago, I lived with dogs, horses, llamas, and sheep, and I am passionate about positive reinforcement and issues involving animal intelligence.
I just moved up to New England from Kentucky. After futon surfing for a couple months in Burlington, while I worked with a conservation nursery to plant trees across Vermont, I moved to central Massachusetts, where a group of friends and I are working to create an intentional community.
