| Introduction | For years I dreamed of what I could be or do when I grew up....huge dreams, unrealistic dreams for the most part. "Life happened" and eventually I gave birth to three wonderful babies-->who kept me occupied. Motherhood gave me an excuse, perhaps, to put my own aspirations/dreams in the background and slowly, but surely, the years passed by. Twenty years later, my children are for the most part grown. My oldest son (26) lives in Illinois with his girlfriend, Missy. My daughter, Mallery (21) just graduated from college and is entering the Army in January. My youngest son, Jacob (20) is a sophomore in college. I've been a good Mom and I will always be their Mom, but they don't need me as much anymore. At first I suffered from "empty nest" big time...but finally, after meeting and marrying the love of my life, I've learned that it's not over yet. I still have a chance to do what I always wanted to do...which is pretty much EVERYTHING...that's about it for now...S.W. |
| Interests | Books, Writing, Sewing, Painting, Reupholstering Furniture, Estate Sales, Thrift Store Shopping, Cooking, (Did I mention writing????), and most of all sharing my life with my husband, Chuck, and our five children <3 |
| Favorite movies | Old black and white movies...To Kill a Mockingbird, Casablanca, It's a Wonderful Life...etc... |
| Favorite music | All of it at different times...there is the upbeat "driving music" that I listen to and sing along with (badly), the music I dance around to in the house when no one is watching, the slow songs I dance with my husband to, the sad songs I listen to when I'm feeling sentimental, Classical music (especially at Christmas-time)..and on and on...music is definitely part of my life. |
| Favorite books | Haven't met a book yet I didn't enjoy for one reason or the other....(excluding trash novels and the like)....books teach me so many things..am always interested in expanding my experience with them..and of course, the truly good ones, I have trouble getting rid of...house is full to capacity of much-loved pages <3 |
