| Introduction | Painting and drawing the land, flora and fauna of southwest Wisconsin and the southwest deserts. Oils, pastel and hand made inks are favorite mediums-especially walnut ink. Riding, hiking and skiing are favorite activities when not drawing. Lichen hunting keeps me out in the woods all year long. I am exploring ways to use drawing and painting to share the amazing life I am surrounded by in these Driftless hills of southwest Wisconsin. We are all drawn to the beautiful landscape, but there is so much more to see and appreciate. Bringing the moth, or lichen, or a night on the river, to you in a painting is a way to share ways of the world unknown to most people. If you are intrigued by the paintings and drawings, go outside, wherever you are, and take a closer look. |
