I would think that spoons were invented before forks. Spoons are very handy, but sometimes you don't always want all the liquid in the food. Slits were probably made in the spoon and evolved into tines. I wonder why the color blue means raspberry-flavored. I'm not sure, but if you get a raspberry stain on cloth, doesn't it turn kind of blue on the edges?
