| Introduction | Malcolm is an avid freelance writer and photographer and he has been a staff writer for A Love Supreme Magazine – voted fanzine of the year five times - for over 10 years. He has also writes a column for Players Inc Magazine and also appears in various other publications, including the Burnley and Sunderland match day programmes, First E11even magazine, as well as acting as writing consultant for soccer statistics firm - Playerform. In 2007, Malcolm published his first book – From Afghanistan To Temazepam – A Diary of an SAFC soldier - after featuring in a collection of football short stories the previous year in the book – 24 Hour SAFC People. He has featured significantly in the media, especially in the last football season, appearing on the front page of the Sunderland Echo twice, featured in The Sun, was the subject of a Talk Sport Radio phone-in, alongside several magazine articles for his part in Operation Jersey Cow.
