Introduction	Hi my name is Steve Boyce and this is my wife Linda. I am the instigator of the Ashford Laryngectomy Club site. Because I have had cancer of the larynx and basically saw the end of my life looming up on me I am so thankful for the team that have saved my life. I needed to give something back and although I feel its not that much, I have become an active member of the A.L.C. Who have helped and supported me from the day I entered the hospital. I am sure that you don't want me to prattle along about my past and the way I treated my body to contract this awful deasese but I feel that because of the reason that I am writing this now I have an obligation to the ones that have gone out the way to save my life. BUT and this is the big word after the operation there is no such thing as a full recovery and to be quit honest I would not have expected it. Again BUT what I did not realise was the extra ordinary feeling that each and every one who have experienced a Laryngectomy of going into a new world of fun /frustration / But a new start
