| Introduction | A lifetime ago, I was a business news reporter and marketing professional. I still enjoy writing and story telling, but life with five kids has left little time for a freelance business. These days, I'm a baker, cook, photographer, crafter, peace negotiator, chauffeur, and advocate. I'm setting goals for myself, working on reclaiming my voice and exploring interests beyond being a mom. I try not to sweat the small stuff. I pick my battles. Julia is 13 and in 8th grade; Henry is 11 and in 6th grade; Charlie is 8 and in 3rd grade; Leo is 6 and in kindergarten; and Abe is 3 and in preschool. Abe is our extra special kiddo, blessed with an extra chromosome. My husband is a high school principal. |
