| Introduction | I am proud of the following facts about my childhood: my family reduced, reused or recycled everything; we bought many things second-hand; we always had a garden; and, we were always frugal. Today, this lifestyle (which I admonished for a short time) is called, "being green". I now have a family (husband, 2 sons) and a home of my own; and, I have combined what I knew as a child with what I know now to try to help my family thrive in harmony with the earth. Some of my passions...I love creating things with my hands (from art to food to home). I love learning to be a better mom, wife, sister, friend, teacher, writer. I love nature.
