| Introduction | I am a painter. Not very long ago I took a big step and began calling myself an artist,even printing it on my business cards. Believe it or not, many fellow artists have a difficult time with this, thinking it a bit egotistical or vain to do so. It is much more humble to refer to oneself as someone who paints or makes art. I continue to feel more comfortable being an artist, calling myself an artist and doing the work. I think that once you take the baby step, the movement follows and being there becomes that self fulfilling prophecy. |
