| Introduction | I've been trying to sell BOOBS OVER HOLLYWOOD for ten years. It's a darn funny book, but agents and publishers crinkle their snotty noses as if there's a bad smell in the air. I've published books, I've written for TV for years, won an Emmy, taught TV and screenwriting at UCLA and at The Television Corporation of Singapore where I also served as story consultant. The publishers are so afraid to try anything that isn't a TWILIGHT, or a HARRY POTTER. They're not looking for the NEW HOT THING; they're looking for a SAME HOT THING that they'll package a little differently and hope no one will notice. Readers are much smarter than that. I'm tired of waiting for those lofty Olympian agencies and publishers to step down from their dais and speak with -- yeck -- actual writers. So I decided to publish through Amazon's CreateSpace. I'm very happy with the results and hope you'll enjoy reading the book as much as I enjoy writing it. Please post your comments and let me know what you loved -- and drat! -- what you hated! |
