| Favorite books | I always answer "The Decameron" to this question, though I haven't read it in years. A gorgeous copy my brother gave me sits between the Quran (I also have a bible... I'm pretty much "non-religious" but don't care to hear how Jesus {or Allah} saved you and how s/he wants to save me) and Funk and Wagnall's Dictionary on my bookshelf at home. I love The Straight Dope books, as well as David Feldman's answer books. There's another similar series, but I can't think of them right now. Also, the Get Fuzzy books since my local paper doesn't carry the strip anymore (replaced by Mallard Fillmore... the lamest liberal-bashing cartoon ever published). |
