Introduction Karolina Wisniewska is a 6 time Paralympic medallist, a World Champion and an Overall World Cup Champion. She is also Canada's most decorated athlete of the 2002 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and the first ever Paralympian to be inducted into the Canadian Ski Hall of Fame. She is now only days away from competing at her third Paralympic Winter Games in Whistler in March 2010! Karolina was born with cerebral palsy that affects the muscle coordination, strength and flexibility in her legs and her balance. She began ski racing at the age of 5 as a form of physical therapy. Karolina was a member of the Canadina Para-Alpine Ski Team (CPAST) from 1995 until 2004 when she retired due to a concussion. She rejoined the team in 2007 and now has her sights firmly set on the podium in 2010! Karolina has a Master's degree in the History of Art from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Art's from McGill University. She speaks three languages.
