About me

Introduction I am a fortunate fellow. From July 2011 until July 2012, I will travel through the Arctic (or elsewhere) on a Watson Fellowship. I am concerned about what we humans are doing to the planet. By thinking about how people find, prepare, and eat food, I believe I can learn a little bit about how people in different regions relate to their local landscapes. In doing so, I hope to gain knowledge and experiences that will someday help me to address some of the environmental and sociocultural issues I find troublesome. Of all the regions in the planet, the Arctic is one where climate change and globalization may be impacting traditional livelihoods and people most rapidly. So, it should be a good place to begin my journey!
