Interests	Palestinian rights, Palestine, the West Bank, Occupied Territories, church music, The First Amendment, Freedom of the Press, Separation of Church and State, civil rights for all Americans, the process of Argument, Critical thinking. As a Christian academic, I believe it is important to stand with those who are pushed to the edges of our society---whatever the reason. It is especially important to uphold the basic principle of American law that one is innocent until proven guilty. And it is important to question how those in authority have made decisions that are based not on verifiable fact but on a subjective interpretations of others' actions and of events, interpretation that may or may not be based in reality.
