| Introduction | As a mother of three children, (two who are already successful adults) and one on the cusp of adulthood, I am at a crossroads of sorts. In a very short time all my babies will be grown. The nurturer in me is looking at this as a loss, although I understand my children are resilient and capable on their own. Still, what will my life be like, when the laundry and cooking is only for me? It seems bittersweet. Writing is a form of therapy, and going through family memories will be a joy, so I am excited about this blog as a creative outlet, as well as a memory repository my kdis and even grandchildren can access. My eldest two sons are 12 and 10 years older than their youngest brother who was born in our kitchen in Italy. But that's another story. |
