| Introduction | when i was in junior high, i went out for track. i ran one meet--the eight hundred. i finished middle of the pack. i wasn't an instant champion, so i quit. and in order to quit, i lied to my coach about an injury that i obviously didn't have. at the time, that seemed easier than the hard work and discipline of training. i've quit running a hundred times since. i don't want to quit this time. |
