Introduction Howzit- the South African Slang used to say "hi" or "how are you?" What happens when you take an ELCA pastor out of Park Ridge, IL and place him in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa? I'm blessed to be the Country Coordinator for the Southern Africa ELCA Young Adults in Global Mission program. I'm learning new words, trying new foods, and learning about the rich culture of Southern Africa. It is a privilege to work with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Southern Africa (ELCSA) and work to bring young adults over from the US for a year of international service to work in ELCSA communities and discover Southern Africa, This blog hopes to tell stories and discuss experiences so others can join in on the adventures. Thanks for checking this out and following along. I know I'm gonna learn some new stuff, and I hope you can too. Peace.
