| Introduction | My name is Jane Diamanti and I have been serving as Library Director since Sept. 2002, having spent 5 years in Kelowna, B.C. working at the Okanagan Regional Library, and prior to that, at Oakville Public Library,and several other libraries throughout southern Ont. My main goals have been to address the significant facility deficiencies of the Georgetown and Acton Branches, to develop strong, meaningful collections, to create a less rule-bound culture and to better publicize and showcase our many wonderful resources. I also want to do all I can to support staff--giving them the tools they need to succeed, from training to moral support. I am passionate about providing excellent library service, and am proud to work alongside staff who are making it all happen! |
