| Introduction | Graduated as a Microbiology student in 2000. Worked with the pharmaceuticals for 6 years, enjoying a great life to serve as a tentmaker, welcomer and sender in missions. She was renewed in 2004 by gaining a fresh vision, finally she resigned in 2006 and took up the challenge to live out as a missionary, and to be trained and prepared to His work in a foreign land. After obtaining a Master in Public Health from Hong Kong University, she obtained her PhD degree in Mental Health and Nursing from Tokyo University. She is currently an Assistant Professor of the Public Health Department in Akita University, research fellow in Tokyo University, and the Head of the Hikikomori Support Center. Research Focus: Hikikomori, young adults in social withdrawal and isolation, Internet addiction, mental health and community building, community level suicide prevention program. |
