Introduction ** FOR QUESTIONS ABOUT JAZZ CURRICULUM, JAZZ RESEARCH, OR PERSONALIZED JAZZ RECORDING LISTS, EMAIL ME ** I was an alternate and then regular member of a jazz ensemble that played at several Essentially Ellington festivals at Lincoln Center in the late 1990s. Playing both Ellington and non-Ellington jazz music in those bands, and other jazz experiences around the same time, led to a long-term love for live and recorded jazz music. Today, I spend an inordinate number of hours preparing jazz curriculum resources for the music program that I am an alumnus of.
