Introduction The kitchen has been my home since I declared to my mother at the ripe age of 11, covered in flour, that I was making profiteroles. Fast forward through high-school "iron chef" battles and Wednesday night stir-fry parties to my first solo trip abroad to India at age 18. The vibrant Indian markets opened me to a world filled with rich smells and exquisite tastes. From India on, my travels around the world have inspired me to create meals of abundant color and beauty as well as taste. Today, I am in the Natural Chef Program at Bauman College, where I am learning invaluable techniques from inspiring teachers. I also work at Savory Spice Shop, which adds extraordinary color and flavor to my life. My days are spent with my nose stuck halfway in a tub of freshly ground cardamom or French chardonnay fumée salt, chatting with local foodies about what's in their kitchen. Life is abundant in ideas, people and delicious food.
