Introduction	Mad Birding chronicles two novice birders' exploration of the many birding opportunities in the Madison, Wisconsin area from backyards to nature preserves. The co-authors are Tom Gombar and Gene Phillips. Colleagues and friends for many years, they discovered a mutual interest in birding several years ago after Tom took an early retirement due to his health. Mad Birding will record their field experiences, photographs, and anything else they think might be of interest to local birders.
