| Introduction | Dad bought/built two apartment buildings in the early 70s as an additional source of retirement income. They served that purpose well, however in the last 10 years Dad wasn't able to do all the maintenance they required. When Dad died in March 2010 my husband and I assumed the responsibility of managment. Wow! Were we in for a surprise. Instead of a litany of everything we've done I'm just going to pick up the story from here forward. We have hired a property manager who deals with the tenants (renting, collecting rent, evictions), but we are doing the maintenance for now. |
