| Introduction | Hi, my name is Hannah. I'm currently a graduate student pursuing a Masters in Secondary Education. I already have a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and by earning my Masters degree I plan to teach high school math. Mathematics has always been my favorite subject throughout my education, cementing itself as a great passion of mine. It is my hope that I can share my enthusiasm for Mathematics to future generations of students, making the experience both informative and enjoyable. This leads me to explore the realm of gamification. Not often is Mathematics a favorite subject among students, which means if I can find a way through the gamification of Mathematics to increase interest and motivation to learn math, then I'll feel a sense of accomplishment when my students move beyond my classroom. Of course, gamifying mathematics is not a fix-all solution, but I believe it is certainly a passage towards making a difference in how students view math. |
