| Introduction | I am the illustrator, and in several instances, author of over 30 children's books including TOO MANY BABAS, THE LITTLE SNOWGIRL, THE THREE BROTHERS and REDOUTÉ, The Man Who Painted Flowers. Many published also in other languages. In my career I have drawn everything in the world at least once - or so it seems. Taught Color and Design, Fashion Illustration and Illustration and originated the Children's Book Illustration class at what is now The University of the Arts. Several of my former students became prize winning book illustrator/ authors. I enjoy doing research for my books, especially when it leads to an interesting trip somewhere. One favorite, a day spent at the Royal Library at Windsor Castle in England examining original watercolors of Maria Sibylla Merian.
