IntroductionI am a passionate individual and aspiring artist who explores various mediums to express creativity. I delve into different emotions and ideas through journaling, poetry, essays, and short stories. In filmmaking, I focus on visual storytelling, capturing human experiences through visuals, colours, and sounds that everyday life inspires. As an entrepreneur, I approach challenges with creativity and innovation. I enjoy simple pleasures, from a warm cup of coffee to a beautiful sunset. I aim to fill life's canvas with beauty in all its forms, sharing experiences and connecting with others.
InterestsHere are some of my interests: art, film, literature, architecture, design, fashion, urban planning, philosophy, psychology, sociology, technology, apps, life, love, liberty, freedom, freedom of speech, respect, honesty and many, many more!
Favorite moviesI became disillusioned with film, which led me to stop watching movies, attending film festivals, and engaging with the industry. As a result, most of my references are from before 2015. While I have an extensive list of favourites and may even forget some over time, here are a few notable films: - "Down and Out in Beverly Hills" and several films by Paul Mazursky - "Another Woman" and many films by Woody Allen - "American Beauty" and other projects by Alan Ball and Sam Mendes - "Peggy Sue Got Married" along with numerous works by Francis Ford Coppola - "Wings of Desire" and various films by Wim Wenders - "Veronika Voss" and most movies by R.W. Fassbinder - "Clueless" by Amy Heckerling - "There Will Be Blood" and virtually all of Paul Thomas Anderson's films. My tastes are extremely eclectic and can range from Akira Kurosawa to Hayao Miyazaki, Martin Scorsese to Quentin Tarantino, and Louis Malle to Roman Polanski. I also appreciate the works of Lina Wertmüller, Agnès Varda, Jane Campion, and Kathryn Bigelow, among others. I enjoy a wide variety of films, from light-hearted comedies to serious dramas and from art films to cinéma vérité, as well as the French New Wave and the raw, violent works of contemporary American filmmakers. In short, I loved film and its limitless possibilities!
Favorite musicThere are far too many songs to remember and catalogue in one sitting—it's nearly infinite! A few examples include most of London Grammar's music, particularly "Hey Now" (both the original and various remixes, especially the one by Arty), "Rooting for You" (which is beautiful), "Wasting My Young Years," and "Help Me Lose My Mind" by Disclosure featuring London Grammar, along with almost everything else they've released. My love of music spans multiple eras and genres, making creating a simple favourites list difficult. For instance, my 2024 music listening review from YouTube noted that I had listened to over 10,000 tracks last year alone. I also hold premium memberships with five music streaming services—don't ask me why!
Favorite booksThere are truly thousands of books that have left an impression on me. As a child, I found solace in the pages of literature, using it as an escape from the world around me. I would lose myself in stories, eagerly consuming each with a nearly obsessive fervour. However, as time has passed, I have drifted away from fiction. It has been years since I immersed myself in literature. Instead, my reading habits have shifted predominantly towards non-fiction. I now devote much of my reading time to biographies and articles, immersing myself in newspapers, academic journals, and an endless array of web-based documents. This transition reflects a broader change in my interests and priorities over the years.
