| Introduction | Hi, welcome to my ‘ FIRST THREE : NO FLASH! ‘ blog. My name’s Debbie Smyth - I’m a London, UK based music photographer, although I do travel worldwide on a regular basis to snap bands. I started taking photographs professionally some 15 years ago. I work for magazines, newspapers, record companies, bands, pr’s, agencies and anyone else! I have pictures published regularly in music magazines, national magazines and newspapers in the UK and Worldwide. I have posters, calendars, album sleeves and pictures in books. I’ve photographed in all the small and all the major London venues and flown around the world to snap them too! I’ve covered music award ceremonies and festivals galore. I’ve snapped rock bands, indie bands, metal bands, singer songwriters, diva’s and legends too! What does " First Three, No Flash " mean? / Answer: There is a phrase that all music photographers know all too well - " First Three, No Flash ". This means photographs are only allowed to be taken during the first three songs of any gig and no flash photography is allowed.
