In 2009, Heather was a JPRI Fellow in International Service Learning & Development at the University of San Francisco’s Center for the Pacific Rim leading the Panango team's English teaching volunteer corps on Karkar Island, Papua New Guinea. She graduated with a degree in Anthropological Sciences from Stanford in 2008.
