| Introduction | I'm an LDS mom of 5 children ages 9 and under. I have been in sober recovery from a lust/masturbation/porn addiction for 12 years. I married my husband in an LDS temple 11 years ago and discovered his porn use a few months later. I lived with emotional, psychological, and sexual abuse for 10 years before I realized what was going on and chose to give myself some space to heal. We have been separated 1 year, and I see no hope of my husband entering real recovery from his addiction or from the abusive behaviors that accompany it. This is a blog to help me heal and to share what I have learned about the connection between pornography and different types of abuse. Most specifically, my goal is to share my journey of coming to trust my feelings, speak up for myself, and believe that I'm not crazy! |
