Introduction I am a 23 year-old black male from Inglewood California. I am a student at a Historically Black College, HBCU. I've set forth several goals for myself and continue to do so, many of which I have conquered. I work hard as a journalist for my newspaper, The Gramblinite, at GSU. I also take great pride in my accomplishments thus far, interning at The New York Times Student Journalism Institute '04, The Orange County Register '04, The Baltimore Sun '05 and the NABJ Monitor Student Project in Atlanta '05. Things are looking up for me and many of these newspapers respectively. Passion is a word that best describes me. I have been blessed with the opportunity of understanding much about my history. Going to Grambling State University has afforded me this chance to understand more about myself. I am thankful for the people I have met, the places I have been, and all my experiences. Perhaps the smile of my face, the compassion of my heart and the forward thinking ideals of which I define myself, may one day change the world at one magnitude or another. For now, I'll continue to grow through experiences and education, and value life's lessons. Peace Within, Michael Grant
