Introduction	I live in the Beaverton area and have a wonderful wife and two amazing sons. One is 17 and the other is 3. I come from a very different background than a lot of teachers. After finishing high school, I enlisted in the Navy and spent many years as an Aviation Electronics Technician. I've spent time in Guam, Japan, Florida, and Washington. I was in the Gulf War and served in the forward unit of Fleet air reconnaissance squadron 1. After the Navy, I attended culinary school where I learned to be a chef and worked in several restaurants and Golf clubs around the Portland area. I really enjoyed my career as a chef, but the time demands were getting to great and I was not willing to sacrifice my family for my job. So, another career change was needed. I had spent a lot of time volunteering in my son's classrooms so I figured I would really like to be a teacher. Finished off my degree and here I am and I've never been happier.
