Introduction	I'm a Hispanic American—with a Colombian background. A lot has changed within the past two years... and my life only seems to be continuing to head towards change. I started to learn Japanese at that point—only as an interest in learning a new language. This interest only grew and grew, and eventually led me towards Japan for a study abroad program. While in Japan (Kyoto specifically), I slowly began to realize how nice the Japanese lifestyle was (well, as much a lifestyle as you can experience in a mere month). I met new and lifelong friends, but even more important, I began to wonder if I would ever return. As you can imagine, this only flourished into more than an interest; and well, one thing led to another and now I'm actually heading to a life IN Japan as an English Assistant Language Teacher (ALT). You never know what plans life has in store for you… all, you can do is follow your dreams and continue on the path life has destined for you. You might be surprised in what direction you have gone… and what amazing memories you have experienced on your journey. This blog serves as a means of documenting this new adventure—this new life!
