Introduction Quincy Walker joined Artsy Maqnolias as an contributing editor. She graduated from Valdosta State University with a degree in Mass Media. At an early age Quincy developed a flair for writing. Growing up on a farm in the South with 4 other siblings, Quincy's parents strongly encouraged reading, and outdoor play, (television was not an option). Her imagination ran wild as she and her siblings would make up games, plays, stories, and new adventures to go on. Throughout her life writing has been her number one creative outlet. It is her love, passion, and sanity. “Writing is a socially acceptable form of schizophrenia.” -E. L. Doctorow "Writing is a form of personal freedom, it frees us from the mass identity we see in the making all around us. In the end, writers will write not to be outlaw heroes of some under culture, but mainly to save themselves, to survive as individuals." --Don DeLillo
