About me

Location Midwest
Introduction I was diagnosed with ICE syndrome - a rare eye disease - over 12 years ago. Fortunately, it usually affects only one eye, and I am so blessed that this has been the case for me. Since then I have gone through multitudes of drops & surgeries on my right eye for glaucoma, cataracts and corneal edema. During much of that time, I felt like I was the only one in the world with ICE. NO ONE understood what I was going through with this complicated eye disease! And so, I decided to start this blog in hopes of finding others like me who just wanted - and needed - a fellow ICE friend to know that they weren't the only ones dealing with this disease. I hope my experiences with ICE can be of an encouragement to you. I am a Kansas girl having lived here all of my life. I graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in microbiology and an MBA. I worked in sales for a large high-tech corporation for 14 years before 'retiring' to become a full-time stay-at-home mom. I love my job! :)
Interests Family, Faith, almost all things vintage, a yearn to live more simply
Favorite Music I enjoy many types of music - it usually depends on the mood! But I always love country music - especially Tim McGraw, George Strait, Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson & Carrie Underwood.
