Introduction	Sophia Wallace is a photographer and visual artist based in New York City. Wallace's work has received critical photo industry acclaim, recognized two years in row by American Photography. Her series 'Truer', was selected as a winner by ARTslant and for shows including Slideluck Potshow XIV at Aperture Gallery and Nymphoto. With recent exhibitions at the Leslie Lohman Gallery, Sasha Wolf Gallery and a show currently at the Carnegie Art Museum, Wallace's work can be seen in a variety of photography venues. In addition to her fine art practice, Wallace shoots editorially for the New York Times Styles and T Magazine, Time Out New York Magazine, The Guardian and Humanity in Action among others. Wallace is a regular guest lecturer at New York University, the International Center of Photography, and PACE University. She holds a B.A. in Government from Smith College, and later received her Master's Degree in Photography, graduating with honors from New York University and the International Center of Photography. Born in Seattle in 1978, Wallace has lived on three continents. She currently resides in Queens, New York.
