| Introduction | posts...peruse them 'n fine doubt...just some subjective impressions and thoughts after all. ELT, what I do for money, can be a sedentary or nomadic occupation. For the individual nomad or freelancer...call them what you will...survival and the freedom to travel is paramount. We all have to work. Acquiring adequate money is a universal necessity of the contemporary human condition. Different people get money in different ways! How do we explain the different strategies that people utilize to obtain money? Well,the nomadic lifestyle ELT must move frequently to fresh pastures. Sedentary ELT [full-time contracts and salaried positions]is a typical but now outdated occurrence in the history of ELT and is typically associated with ambitious, security-conscious individuals with families. Nomadic ELT on the other hand is the only option for freedom lovers and is an adaptation that makes the most of available ELT positions in developing countries by frequent mobility. Freelance ELTs move to fresh pastures to maximize their freedom and lessen the amount of time they need to work by taking the cheapest, buzziest journey options available. |
