Introduction	This blog is about the adventure of learning to ride horses after 40, and sharing the successes and frustrations of open and APHA shows. I got my first horse when I was about 33. We just did trail rides. I tried various trainers to learn to ride but really had no idea what I was doing. In 2006, I met Bandit, an APHA show horse. I thought I would give showing a try. I have alot to learn but have come a long way. I rarely loped on my horses before Bandit. We show Western Pleasure and Trail, mainly at Open shows but working on doing more APHA shows. I wanted to start a blog about my experiences with Bandit along with anything else that may be interesting. I love to read blogs about people and their horses.
