Introduction	In June 2010 I left an amazing life in an amazing city. I liked to think of my life as my own version of Sex & the City, only I was chubbier and much less affluent. It was a very good life filled with a career I was passionate about and had developed into a prosperous private practice, a kickass circle of friends, family nearby, and an awesome rent controlled apartment. But I believed I could have a better life following the love of my life. That meant moving to the deep South and becoming a military spouse. I was unable to obtain employment and shockingly found myself a stay at home pregnant house wife! After eight years with the military my husband decided to take a huge leap of faith and separated from the military and we moved home. Literally. We. Moved. Home. We stayed with my in-laws for six months along with our baby, kitty, and two snakes. I eventually landed an amazing job doing exactly what I wanted, exactly where we wanted to be. At one year year old my son finally slept through the night. I am now experiencing sleep deprivation with baby number two. Life after the military seems to be going well for us. I still find myself talking about baby shit way too much.
