Introduction	Life before children involved many years of sea adventures: tracking whales and dolphins around the Pacific, protesting against nuclear testing as part of Greenpeace boat crew, organising trip to study endangered marine species in Mexico and helping the BBC in the filming of the Blue Planet series. The arrival of our first son Jonah sent us home to Lymington to set up a land-based home. Three more sons later and we decided it was time to get afloat again and so Calypso was conceived - a mission to work with Kit's father Jeremy Rogers to build a greener version of the classic sailing boat the Contessa 32. Mission accomplished we are now sailing Calypso.
