Introduction	I moved from the midwest to New York almost five years ago. To summarize what Madonna once said of her similar move many years ago... When you first arrive in New York City, it's like you just stuck your finger in an electrical socket. After a while though, you get used to the energy and when you go anywhere else, you are amazed at the lack of electricity and the life that you knew before seams unusually slow. I have definately found this to be true. I have changed a lot since moving here, in both good and bad ways. I am trying to hold on to the good and strengthen the weaknesses, and many have helped me to do this, no one more so than my wonderful husband, Edgar. Here is an account of my new life seasoned with insights from my past.
