About me

Location Washington DC, United States
Introduction Once, when I was younger, I climbed the tallest tree I could find and stood at the top straining to see, as if there was some secret hidden in the forest that could only be seen from above. I think I almost saw it, almost caught a glimpse, but the branches shuddered and would not hold. I inched my way to the ground, carefully hugging the trunk. To me, failure is the sound of creaking branches, bending under too much weight; failure is climbing down. The older I get, the higher the trees, and so always I am testing branches, always holding fast, climbing as high as I can.
