Introduction Considering how bloody miserable I've been, and how awful things are, I'm actually surprised at how positive I feel about starting this experiment. I don't expect anyone other than me to read what's being read and I find that liberating in many ways. I have no intention of making this some special bells & whistles page, I don't really give a damn about adding hyperlinks and bollocks, I'm just going to write about songs that have had some effect on me during the last 50 years. (Who knows, if I begin to understand what I'm doing then things might change - I could go crazy and add a photograph). Half a bloody century. And it's not going to be an in-depth critique of the song; or a meditation on the interpretations of the song; or even a technical breakdown of the instruments, mixing desk, and effect pedals; this is going to be a plain text exploration of why I give a damn about some song, by some people, at a given time in my life. Some of these tracks aren't even songs I liked. So... Hello me... Remember all this?
