Introduction | I am an international ballerina and dance teacher. I am pursuing an MA in Dance Technique Pedagogy at Middlesex University, London. My dance studies began in England. In Mexico at Dance Center and was certified by La Sociedad Mexicana de Maestros de Danza. I studied intensively with Cuban Ballet´s Raul Bustabad and Denia Hernandez.I later trained with Maryland Youth Ballet´s Tensia Fonseca. I culminated my professional dance studies at the Washington School of Ballet training with Lupe Serrano, Rudolf Kharatyan, Patricia Berrend, Victoria Leigh and Lorraine Spiegler. My professional experience began at fifteen, dancing with the Washington Ballet in The Nutcracker. I continued dancing in Washington DC dancing with the Washington Opera, in the Kennedy Centre and Spanish Dance Theatre. I received teacher training with Miss Mary Day at the Washington School of Ballet. In Costa Rica, with Danza Libre, I danced as a principal and soloist at Melico Salazar Theatre and Teatro de la Danza. I directed Ballet Clásico de Costa Rica with a programme of community outreach. I am currently a ballerina with Al Alandalus and a ballet teacher at Body Motion Dance Studio. |
