| Introduction | I've been married for 24 years to a wonderful man. I am the mom of 3 adult kids, Lauren is 23, Patrick and Andrew, 19. I've spent the last 10 years nursing a child through a severe case of Lymes disease and Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome. Thankfully, the Lymes is in remission and most of the damage is reversed and, as the child has grown up, the CVS has started to diminish. I have a sarcastic, dry sense of humor. Just going for the laugh. With the life experiences I've had I've come to the conclusion that you have to laugh, your only other option is crying, so find the humor in everything...even if sometimes it is inappropriate. I suffer from narcolepsy. It was funny until I knew I had it and now it's just a nightmare I can't wake up from. I am a firm believer there is a difference between stupidity and ignorance...stupid people CHOOSE to be that way, ignorant ones don't know any better. If we stop, take the time to educate them, they will no longer be ignorant! I am a firm believer in the saying that friends are the family you choose. My life experience has taught me to ask the hard questions and you can not only educate yourself but others too! |
