About me

Introduction	MEMUM (Medieval & Early Modern Studies at the University of Maryland) is group of interdisciplinary graduate faculty and graduate students who have come together to foster the thickest and most expansive collaborative exploration in the medieval and early modern periods. This formal structure for such collaboration will provide graduate students with a better, broader education and will foster interdisciplinary thinking, a greater diversity and originality of approach, and collegiality. As dissertation projects become increasingly multi-disciplinary in scope, students’ preparation will be better served by the interconnected network of disciplines the members of MEMUM will facilitate. The blog is run by the committee's graduate assistant, Courtney Connolly.
