| Introduction | I graduated from the Academy of Art University (San Francisco) with a BA in Illustration (Spring 2011). I'm a Hawai'i (Oahu)-born Illustrator, and I'm still holding on (dearly) to my childhood flights-of-fantasy! I enjoy thinking up concepts and sketching out imagery that I find the most enjoyable and engaging. The world is a beautiful yet scary place for me, and my work strives to depict my unique perspective. I enjoy making art with a lot of love, thought, and ingenuity! So far my life has been an endless journey of curiosity. Ever since I was a child I was always interested in the delicate relationships between everything...the juxtapositions and the contrasts. I draw, sketch, illustrate, paint, and create woodblocks. I also do digital work in Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel Painter and Flash. I try to capture the most interesting & essential elements in each work, whether it be a depiction of beauty or ugliness. I try to stick with beauty, but I value the importance of darker themes as well. |
