| Introduction | My name is Becky and I am a twin. Although I was born with Cerebral Palsy, it does not define who I am. I graduated from college with honors and have essentially been living independently for about five-plus years now. My cat, Hickory Belle, is the furry love of my life, as are both Cola and Roo, my "niece-lets"... As many people who know me are aware, it is a large part of my life's mission to help educate the world about the lysosomal storage disease known as Tay-Sachs Disease (TSD). This has been my passion and my mission since September 10, 2005, when I met My Angel, ^Dylan^, at a Red Sox-Yankees game. Thank you, Bud-Bud. I love and miss you. I work for a non-profit organization where my primary responsibility is to help people with various abilities and disabilities find gainful employment in the community. I also am a Peer Leader (as a staff person) for IMPACT: Ability, a program bringing self-defense skills to people with disabilities. |
